Professional Design for Film, Television,
and Special Events

Wendy Brown got her start in makeup when she and her husband decided to open a commercial theatrical attraction in 2000…then and there she fell in love with special effects makeup and costume design. She began to study and practice various specialty makeup techniques including those for airbrush application, HD production and character art. Eventually, her reputation as an accomplished makeup artist would pull her into the world of film and television, and as they say in the business, “she got the bug.”  With a passion for learning, Wendy continued her study of makeup at High Definition Makeup University and Stan Winston School of Character Design.

Being the consummate versatile artist that she is….she’s done both makeup and costuming for television shows such as Farm Story, Time Machine Guitar, Riggo on the Range and Ted Talks and for non-broadcast television such as Wells Fargo Corporation, Lowe's Home Improvement and National Gypsum. Wendy’s had the pleasure of doing makeup for celebrities such as Chris Cooper, Adrian Pasdar, Ruth Connell, Alice Coulthard, Boris McGiver, Zepher Benson, Alex Wolfe, Stefania Owen, Eric Nelsen, Mark Singer, Art LaFluer, Haley Dumond, Paul McGill, John Riggins, and Ralph Covert.

As an accomplished special effects makeup artist, prosthetic and mask creator, her work has been featured in several horror films such as House Hunting, Danger*Zombie*Run, Lullaby, In the Book, and Way of the Wicked.

Another exciting fact about Wendy is that she has an degree in Environmental Science, a Masters in Education and is a former fifth grade science teacher who now uses her teaching skills to teach the art of makeup and costuming to students of all ages, something she is truly passionate about!

Today, Wendy works full time as a makeup artist, costume designer, wardrobe coordinator.
